Feb. 28 - Today's Class....

For the last couple of days we have been looking at the history of communication, evolution of communication, and the oldest form of communication; print media.
Print media encompasses all paper (or cloth) and ink based products from newspaper to comics. Today you will be creating your very own magazine.
Using this website you will be creating your very own magazine.
The program you will be using allows you to create 3 types of magazine pages, including: photo, article, and mixed. Your magazine in addition to a cove page must contain 2-3 photo pages, 1 full article page, and 2 of the mixed pages. Your magazine will have 6 pages including a cover page.
I recommend first looking at some magazines online to get an idea for layout, style, and potential ideas for your own magazine. Some sites to look at:
or
Once you have a good idea choose a topic that appeals to you, some potential ideas include; art (anything you want), architecture, sports, animals, restaurants, food, people (or person), cultural, political, landmark, technology etc. if you are not sure ask Ms. Wilson.
You will have to do some research in order to gather photos and information for your articles but it should be your own opinion.
When you have completed your magazine make sure to send to Ms. Wilson and embed on your blog. Good luck, and have fun with it, this is your chance to let me know about somthing that intrests you.
IT MUST BE IN ENGLISH ALL OF IT! BEFORE YOU ASK.
